EM-138-3 is a three-channel panel-mounted bar graph meter. Each channel has its own 30-segment LED display and can be configured independently for either a 4–20 mA current-loop signal or a 0–10 V voltage signal.
The three measuring channels operate as electrically separate signal channels, while the signal circuitry is galvanically isolated from the power supply. Each channel includes individual zero and gain adjustments for matching the display to the measured process signal.
The EM-138-3 contains three separate measuring channels. Each channel has its own display, range selector and calibration adjustments.
The measuring range of each channel can be independently selected from the following alternatives:
The current input has an input resistance of 60 Ω. The voltage input has an input impedance of 100 kΩ.
Each channel uses a 30-segment red-orange LED bar graph. The front panel has a black background with white scale markings for good contrast and visibility.
The display is updated three times per second. The specified indication accuracy is ±1 LED segment.
The displayed scale and range can be defined for the application, allowing the front-panel markings to represent the required engineering quantity.
Each channel has separate zero and gain trimmers with an adjustment range of at least ±10%. These adjustments allow the beginning and end of the display range to be matched to the input signal.
The measuring-range selectors and calibration trimmers are located on the rear panel of the device.
The signal inputs are protected against overvoltage and overcurrent. The signal circuits are galvanically isolated from the supply circuit, with a rated isolation voltage of 500 VDC between the signal and supply circuits.
The EM-138-3 is designed for installation in a 92 × 92 mm panel cut-out. It can be mounted in panels with a thickness of 1–5 mm using four NGS-NK screw clamps.
The standard housing provides IP40 protection. IP65 protection is available when the device is installed with the specified NGS 96 GHN sealing accessory.
