EM-347B is a brushless DC motor driver featuring hall sensor feedback, an efficient MOSFET power stage, and compatibility with 120° commutation. The true 4-quadrant power stage enables regenerative braking: during braking the supply voltage rises, which can be controlled with a braking resistor, or redirected back into the battery in battery-powered systems.
The device includes essential digital inputs such as direction, brake, start/stop and disable, along with filtered analog inputs for speed and current control. A digitally presettable second speed (speed-2) can be activated via command input.
The EM-347B includes two NPN indication outputs for fault and overcurrent. All fault conditions such as overvoltage, undervoltage and overtemperature are also indicated via an on-board LED.
Overtemperature and current limit events can be reset using a reset input, reset timer, or by setting speed command to zero. Two control methods are available:
Start/stop ramps operate in both modes, and all ranges and ramp values are fully adjustable. The analog inputs accept filtered PWM signals, allowing PWM-based control of speed and current.
Configuration can be done using the EM-236 interface unit or the PC software Emen-Tool Lite together with the EM-268 adapter cable. All parameters are stored in non-volatile memory, and motor current and RPM can be monitored in real time.
The EM-347B can be mounted on a DIN-rail base, and enclosure options are available for different industrial integration needs.
