EM-82-05A is a MEMS-based acceleration sensor designed for vibration measurement and machine-condition monitoring. It provides an analog voltage proportional to the measured acceleration.
The sensor has a nominal sensitivity of 400 mV/g and a measuring range of up to ±5 g. Its buffered voltage output and wide frequency response make it suitable for connection to vibration monitors, data-acquisition systems and industrial control equipment.
The EM-82-05A uses a MEMS sensing element to measure dynamic acceleration. MEMS technology provides good long-term repeatability, shock resistance and temperature stability in a compact construction.
The nominal sensitivity is 400 mV/g, corresponding to approximately 40.7 mV per m/s².
At zero acceleration, the nominal output voltage is 2.5 V. Positive and negative acceleration cause the output voltage to move above or below this offset level.
The available output swing is approximately ±2.0 V, giving a nominal output range from 0.5 to 4.5 V. With a sensitivity of 400 mV/g, this corresponds to a full measuring range of approximately ±5 g.

The narrower 5–1000 Hz range provides the flatter amplitude response, while the wider range extends usable measurement capability up to 2 kHz.
The sensing element is installed in an aluminum housing and encapsulated for protection against environmental conditions and mechanical stress.
The enclosure is rated IP67 and includes a 3 m connection cable.
