EM-LP300 is an enclosed 300 VA power supply designed to provide power for multiple Electromen products. Its toroidal transformer and large filtering capacitance make it particularly suitable for motor-control applications requiring high starting current and short-duration torque peaks.
The enclosure includes an aluminium mounting plate with space for several Electromen modules. Compatible products can be attached to the plate using 3 mm snap-in spacers, providing a compact foundation for assembling a complete motor-control system.
DC motors can require substantially more current during starting, acceleration and sudden load changes than during continuous operation. The EM-LP300 provides a maximum short-duration output current of 30 A for these transient load conditions.
The specified continuous output current is 10 A. Heat generated by the electronic cards installed inside the enclosure can reduce the available continuous-current capacity.
The power supply includes 16.5 mF of filtering capacitance to reduce output-voltage ripple and support transient current demand.
The transformer incorporates a self-resetting thermal cut-out with a specified operating temperature of 110 °C. The protection interrupts operation if the transformer temperature becomes excessive and resets after the transformer has cooled.
The EM-LP300 is housed in a Fibox PC175/100HG polycarbonate enclosure with an IP65 rating. The enclosure is supplied with one PG11 and nine PG9 cable glands.
The internal aluminium plate provides a common mounting surface for the power-supply components and compatible Electromen modules. Total heat generation inside the sealed enclosure must be considered when determining the permissible continuous load.
The currently available EM-LP300 version is intended exclusively for a 230 VAC, 50 Hz mains supply.
