EM-A18 + EM-A14T-4-FM is a short-range RF remote-control system comprising a four-output receiver and a four-button transmitter. It is designed for applications requiring wireless control of several independent functions.
The system uses rolling-code communication similar to KeeLoq-type systems. The receiver responds only to transmitters that have been paired with it. One receiver can store and recognise up to 16 transmitters.
Transmitters are paired with the receiver using a learning procedure. Once paired, the receiver recognises the rolling-code transmissions from that transmitter and activates the corresponding output.
A single receiver can be paired with up to 16 transmitters, allowing several users or control locations to operate the same system.
The four-button transmitter provides control for four receiver outputs. Each button corresponds to a separate output channel, allowing several functions to be controlled from one handheld transmitter.
The active output voltage is specified as approximately one volt below the receiver supply voltage. Each output has a maximum specified current of 50 mA and is intended for controlling compatible signal inputs or other light loads.
The receiver operates from a 5–35 VDC supply and uses a 17 cm wire antenna. It can be mounted as a standalone unit or installed on a DIN rail using the optional EM-KP72-31.25 mounting base.
