EM-A3-10K is a 10 kΩ control potentiometer intended for speed setting, position commands and other analogue control functions in automation systems. Its conductive-plastic resistive element provides smooth adjustment and good long-term durability.
The potentiometer is primarily recommended for indoor installations. When installed with the supplied O-ring and appropriate sealing material, the panel installation can be protected against water ingress according to the specified installation requirements.
The potentiometer has a total mechanical rotation of 270° and an effective electrical range of 240°. The difference between these values provides a short mechanical travel outside the specified electrical control range at the ends of rotation.
The resistive element is manufactured from conductive plastic. This construction is intended to provide smooth control, low wear and good long-term endurance in frequently adjusted applications.
The potentiometer is installed through a 10 mm panel opening and is suitable for panels up to 5 mm thick. The shaft diameter is specified as 6–6.3 mm.
The EM-A3-10K-A-O version is supplied with the standard potentiometer assembly, a control knob, an O-ring and a black scale label with white markings.
The basic potentiometer is specified to IP40. An IP65 panel installation may be achieved when the O-ring and the required sealing materials are installed correctly.
The sealing arrangement, panel surface and installation method must be suitable for the environmental conditions of the final application.
