EM-A14T series transmitters are designed for short-range wireless control with compatible Electromen receivers. The typical control range is approximately 10–25 metres, depending on the installation environment, receiver antenna arrangement, intervening obstacles and electromagnetic interference.
The transmitters use rolling-code communication based on KeeLoq technology. A compatible receiver responds only to transmitters that have been paired with it, helping prevent operation by unrelated transmitters using the same radio frequency.
The EM-A14T series includes both amplitude-modulated (AM) and frequency-modulated (FM) transmitter versions. AM and FM transmitters require different receiver models and cannot be assumed to operate with the same receiver.
FM transmission may provide improved performance in some electrically noisy environments. The actual operating range depends on local interference, obstacles, receiver placement and antenna installation.
The transmitter modulation type must match the receiver. The exact transmitter and receiver type codes should be checked before ordering or pairing devices.
The rolling-code system changes the transmitted code during operation. Once a transmitter has been paired with a compatible receiver, the receiver accepts commands associated with that registered transmitter.
Suitability for access control, locking or safety-related applications must be evaluated according to the requirements and regulations of the final system.
Under typical conditions, the control range is approximately 10–25 metres. Walls, metal structures, machinery, radio interference, receiver enclosure materials and antenna orientation can reduce the effective range.
The transmitters operate in the 433 MHz short-range-device band with a stated RF output below 10 mW. Requirements for licence-free operation and permitted radio parameters vary between countries and may change over time. Local regulations must therefore be checked before installation or use.
The transmitter is powered by one 12 V A23 battery. The plastic enclosure has a stated typical protection rating of IP52.
