EM-366A is a compact and efficient brushless DC motor driver designed for demanding automation and motion-control applications. The driver features hall sensor feedback, true 4-quadrant operation, and Modbus RS-485 communication for flexible system integration.
The EM-366A uses a MOSFET power stage with excellent efficiency and full compliance with modern EMC requirements. The unit supports 120° commutation and provides regenerative braking capability. During braking, the supply voltage rises and can be controlled with an external braking resistor. In battery-powered systems, the regenerated energy can be directed back to the battery, eliminating the need for a resistor.
Start and stop ramps operate in both modes. Adjustable parameters allow fine-tuning of speed range, closed-loop RPM limits, and acceleration/deceleration ramps. Filtered analog inputs also enable the use of a PWM control signal for speed and current.
All parameters can be digitally configured using the EM-236 interface unit or the Emen-Tool Lite PC software together with the EM-328 adapter cable. Settings are stored in non-volatile memory, and real-time monitoring of motor current and RPM is supported.
The driver can be mounted on a DIN-rail base, and optional enclosure versions are available for customized installations.
